About the role

As Lab Systems Manager, you are system manager for all lab systems used within Devyser’s labs, including production and R&D. You are the expert and point of contact for guidance in the lab systems, its maintenance, troubleshooting and data management. With your expertise you support in the day-to-day guidance to users, but also play a key guiding role in implementation or change of systems by staying up to date with the latest laboratory technological advancements. Furthermore, you implement data management strategies to ensure security in data storage and access, as well as efficiency in data structuring.  

You are an essential part of supporting lab teams to efficiently run systems and ensure streamlined workflows. You report directly to the CIO and belong to the IT team while also maintaining cross-functional collaborations. 

The role responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Serve as the System Manager for selected R&D systems in accordance with our System Ownership Policy, including responsibilities in supplier relations, documentation, testing and validation, and upgrades 
  • Manage and oversee the centralized ticket system and be the primary point of contact for all lab, R&D, and operations system-related issues in the organization 
  • Provide expert technical guidance, hold trainings and support lab system users 
  • Develop and implement robust data management strategies focused on efficient data structuring, storage, integration, and backup 
  • Ensure data integrity, enforce access control, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards 
  • Lead and manage system upgrade projects from planning to implementation 
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure that upgrades are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals  

Develop and maintain a comprehensive system documentation  

Who you are

With your analytical ability you can quickly grasp and understand problems. You are solutions-oriented and enjoy solving problems that require detail orientation and troubleshooting. In addition, you have great collaboration and communication skills that lead to effective engagement across the organization. 

Qualifications

  • A university degree in Life Sciences or other relevant field 
  • Extensive experience in R&D activities within life sciences 
  • Proficiency in using and managing laboratory equipment, software and data management systems 
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, optimize workflows and resolve operational challenges 
  • Full proficiency in English and Swedish, in written and spoken format
